Vintage Design
A very rare Chaise Longue 2072 / B306 liege by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand (The lounge bed is known as the LC4 from 1964 onwards, when Cassina started production).
Sigfried Giedion, Werner Max Moser and Rudolf Graber, the founders of WOBAG (later Wohnbedarf) started selling the original Thonet-made Le Corbusier’ chaise longue’s already in the 1930s.
Not much later, Wohnbedarf AG also acquired production rights:
The LC4 produced by Embru-Werke in Switzerland for Wohnbedarf can therefore be considered one of the earliest licensed re-editions, far before Cassina acquired production rights.
