Vintage Design
We are delighted to offer this super rare and highly collectable, original, Mid Century Modern, Herman Miller No1 Edition conference table, which were purchased by the original owner from Herman Miller directly at the beginning of the 1980’s. The table is a full sized, the top believe it or not is made from bamboo, it is heavy and very solid. The oval segmented table was bought from Herman Miller, currently sold through Vitra and of course made and designed by Charles & Ray Eames. In 1964 the Eames Office introduced their most complex, most versatile system of table bases, the Segmented Base Tables. Like many of the Eames chair designs, the Eames segmented base is a systems approach to design. Condition wise we have deep cleaned, and hand polished the table from top to bottom. There will be some normal age and use related patination here and there, I can see one chip around the top of the table edge, otherwise, it’s just good honest patina Conference table. Dimensions Height:- 72cm Width:- 203 cm Depth:- 106cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. CONDITION Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
