Antique Bull Horn Hall Stand ca.1870

A large bull horn hall stand made of wood, original Austrian cattle horns and a green velvet cover. Manufactured in Austria ca. 1870. Sturdy condition with original (antique) green velved which has to be renewed (is loosing the hairs).

At the beginning of the 19th century the European nobility discovered antler furnishings for their hunting castles and countryseats. The furniture was either manufactured completely from e.g. stag antler, or it was decorated with antler pieces from the stag, deer, fallow deer and others to get a hunting desing. A famous example was the interior design of ‘Jagdschloss Platte’ (hunting castle Platte) of count William of Nassau near Wiesbaden, Germany in 1825.

A striking, vintage bent wood “Uno” wastebasket/paper bin by Pablo Pardo. Features a simple and modern design with a mid-century vibe. The “Uno” watebasket is included in the permanenet collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Consructed of two interlocking pieces of thin Finnish Birch plywood in a Mahogany finish. Stamped PABLO to the lower front corner.

A superb antique English Art Nouveau cast brass desktop footed stamp box with a lovely brass patina, circa 1920. This fine box has an ornate Neoclassical design and scrolled feet with a hinged lid and five sloped compartments for stamps. It’s a nice large size and heavy weighing 2 lbs, perfect for the collector or as a handsome desk accessory.

This is a beautiful handmade, hand tooled Metal box from the Tuareg people of Mali. The Tuareg are a Berber people with a traditionally nomadic Pastoral lifestyle. They are the principal inhabitants of the Saharan interior of North Africa, in the Saharan parts of Niger, Mali, and Algeria.

19th century French majolica basket with the most gorgeous twig handles we have had the pleasure to see! The handles miraculously have no damage, just a firing crack at the very top where the handle bends, as is pictured. The twig handles go along the sides all the way to the base for added design interest. The basket itself is magnificent. It has a lovely shape and has applied florals as well. It is truly a lovely decorative piece and would be wonderful in any collection or home.
