Vintage Design
Original painted bridal cupboard made of pine dating from around 1790/1820. This cupboard is beautifully painted with clouds and floral decorations. The cabinet is more than 200 years old and naturally shows some signs of wear and old repairs. Some old woodworm traces are visible in the back panel, which have been checked and treated again to be sure. The legs and part of the crest have also been professionally restored. The cupboard is equipped with a shelf and a rod on the inside. If desired, you can easily add more shelves. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this as a gift to the couple at a wedding. This furniture was subsequently placed on the farm in a stately room that was only rarely used for high-ranking visitors or special occasions. A beautiful and decorative piece of history. This specimen comes from southern Germany (Oberpfalz). 181cm high, 130cm wide, 54cm deep.
