Vintage Design
The Egg Chair was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 and manufactured by Fritz Hansen. The piece on offer is a very early armchair from the 1st edition, manufactured at the end of the 1950s, beginning of the 1960s (recognisable by the stamp in the leather, see picture). The armchair is in very nice condition with a beautiful patina and some signs of use. Due to its age, a few restorations had to be made to the leather. Two cracks on the side of the seat were glued and the partially slightly open seam of the seat was closed with liquid leather (see last three pictures). The restorations were made professionally, are only visible on closer looking and do not detract from the beauty of the wonderfully aged armchair.
