Beautiful pair of Molteni lounge furniture, sideboards, Italian design and production, circa 1960s.
They are part of the 4D modular furniture series designed by Angelo Mangiarotti.
Wooden structure with mahogany veneer.
These two sideboards can be combined with other elements of the 4D chairs, the assembly is the same as in the photo, it is not possible to compose them differently.
They are finished on all sides, and can therefore also be used in the center of the room or as open space dividers.
The sideboard seen on the right in the first photos has 6 drawers of different heights, one of which is a bar compartment.
The upper part is visible with a height-adjustable shelf.
There are signs of use inside the drawers and on the supports.
The second sideboard has two wooden doors in the lower part and two in smoked glass in the upper part; It is completed by two height-adjustable shelves.
This furniture has been subject to obvious discoloration due to exposure to sunlight.

Both pieces of furniture have 4 wheels at the base, to date the rubber of the wheels is damaged and has cracks and breaks, almost all the wheels are now “square”, they can be easily eliminated or replaced.
