Legeres Oxidation on the base of the steel feet.
Born in Brussels in 1928, Ado Chale (his real name Adolphe Pelsener) was initially trained in ironwork before discovering mineralogy during a trip to Germany in the late 1950s. In 1962, he opened a gallery In Brussels with his wife, gemologist by profession. Initially focused on jewelry, it also creates its first tables encrusted from pyrite fragments collected on the north coast of France. At the end of the 1960s, he traveled the world in search of semi -precious stones and began to work with epoxy resin – a new material at the time. It was during this period that he created his first tables in bronze and aluminum molded “drop of water”, originally inspired by pre -Columbian culture. These emblematic tables, typical of his work, are unique due to the flow process, and their organic shape highlights the brutal beauty of the metal. Art and design influence each other in all its creations, and the striking nature of its works quickly attracts customers such as the Belgian royal family, as well as many prestigious interior designers and art collectors. His work has been widely exposed, obtaining special recognition in France and Japan. Today, it is an essential name in the world of design. The inspiration he draws from the natural world and his love of noble materials give his work a timeless quality and a universal appeal.
